All-You-Can-Eat Turkish Brunch

All-You-Can-Eat Turkish Brunch!

Every Sunday morning, the table at Doner Point Edgewater is set the way it should be. Fresh bread out of the oven, honey straight from the comb, eggs made to order, and a spread that takes its time. This is not a hotel buffet. This is a real Turkish breakfast — and it is available every single Sunday, all-you-can-eat, right here in Edgewater. Just minutes from New York City.

What Is a Turkish Breakfast?

In Turkey, breakfast is not a quick meal. It is a ritual. A proper Turkish breakfast — called kahvaltı — is a spread of small dishes shared at the table over tea, conversation, and time. Cheeses, olives, fresh vegetables, honeycomb, warm bread, eggs, and pastries all arrive together. You eat slowly. You come back for more. That is exactly what we serve every Sunday.

What’s on the Table

Every dish is prepared fresh the same morning. Here is what you will find:

  • Cheeses & Cream Kaymak (clotted cream), unsalted butter, white cheese, tulum, kaşar, and çeçil — a selection that covers the full range of what a Turkish breakfast table looks like.
  • Olives Black and green olives, simply prepared. No filler.
  • Fresh Vegetables & Fruit Sliced tomatoes, cucumber, mixed greens, banana, strawberries, and grapes. Light, fresh, and made to balance the richness of everything else on the table.
  • Honey & Spreads Honeycomb, süzme honey, strawberry jam, Nutella, and fıstıklı helva (pistachio halva). The honeycomb alone is worth coming for.
  • Breads & Pastries Tırnak pide (fresh-baked Turkish flatbread), su böreği (layered pastry), simit (sesame-crusted bread ring), peynirli poğaça (cheese-filled pastry), and pancakes. All made fresh. All served warm.
  • Hot Dishes Menemen (Turkish-style scrambled eggs with tomatoes and peppers), sucuklu yumurta (eggs with Turkish sausage), sosis kızartma (fried sausage), haşlama yumurta (boiled eggs), and patates kızartma (fried potatoes). This is the heart of the spread — warm, filling, made to order.
  • Mezzes Şakşuka (roasted vegetables in tomato sauce) and acuka (spicy walnut and pepper spread). Small dishes that add depth to the table.
  • Dried Fruits & Nuts Figs, dried apricots, and walnuts. A Turkish table staple.
  • Cereal & Milk Corn flakes and milk served in a teapot — a nod to the way breakfast is done at home.
